I am Yalçın Kır, a music teacher, composer, and storyteller. I have taught in many parts of Turkey, always eager to learn about the musical richness of each region I lived in. I never hesitated to be a student myself, and even today, I continue learning, experimenting, and exploring without pause. I have raised a son, and now we will continue our musical journey together. I will announce our concerts and news both here on this website and on my social media accounts.
Turkish folk music has always held a special place in my life. I record my own original songs and share my interpretations of traditional folk tunes with listeners. To explore my music, visit the Songs page, and for my interpretations of folk melodies, check the Folk Songs page. Over time, I will continue publishing all my recorded works.
Besides music, I love working with words. Writing and telling stories are essential parts of who I am. You can read my stories on the Stories page and explore my essays, reflections, and teaching experiences in the Articles section. These pages will help you get to know me both as a music teacher and as a storyteller.
I am also drawn to technology and creativity beyond music. I enjoy experimenting with coding on an amateur level and designing simple games in my spare time. If you’d like to try them, visit the Games page. This shows that my creativity is not limited to music but extends into other fields as well.
I am very active on social media, where I share my musical journey, projects, and upcoming concert announcements. You can find my accounts through the links above. By exploring this website—songs, folk interpretations, stories, articles, and games—you will get a closer look at my music and my world. If you would like to share your thoughts, reach out through the Comments page.
